DiRōNA Achievement of Distinction

DiRōNA Achievement of Distinction

The DiRoNA Achievement of Distinction Award is bestowed upon North American fine dining establishments that are fortunate to pass a rigorous and anonymous inspection process. The distinction defines one of the most respected awards in dining.

A distinguished restaurant is one that stands apart from others characterized by consistent excellence in all facets of the dining experience—cuisine, service and environment. It consistently provides exceptional quality, value and a memorable experience.

The Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRōNA) is a non-profit, unbiased organization that, by recognizing excellence, seeks to promote fine dining throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Its mission is to serve as the authority for recognizing and promoting excellence in dining.

The award is earned by qualifying restaurants that pass a comprehensive evaluation. The extensive criteria and impartial inspection process is used to evaluate all aspects of an excellent dining experience. The third-party inspection team is comprised of specially trained inspectors that are unknown to the DiRoNA Board and Membership.

To date, fewer than 800 fine dining establishments have earned the distinction. Award winners must be re-inspected every four years to maintain the award. Most of the Prime Time Top 10 Steakhouses of North America have earned the coveted DiRoNA Achievement of Distinction.
